We provide a GIS collection / Infrastructure management tool that is easy to use and affordable. Our system involves a web account and any number of devices running the DataPoint GIS software. The web account lets you design collection templates like Fire Hydrants, Parking Meters, Catch Basins, Properties, etc. consisting of whatever fields you want (Text, List, Radio, Barcode, Time Stamp, GPS, Picture) and your devices can sync to the server and start pushing and pulling data based on the templates.

DataPoint GIS allows you to collect data online or offline (uploading the collected data when you get back around wifi). This means you don't need an internet connection to collect data, you can collect data and browse any cached data without an internet connection. All the data is accessible on your web account and can be exported to CSV, Shapefile, and KML format for import into other GIS, database, or report generation programs. DataPoint is meant to be a flexible and affordable way for you to manage asset data out in the field.

Other programs like Pathfinder Office (by Trimble), ArcPad, or CartoPac offer solutions that are overly complex and way to expensive. Our solution is reasonably priced and easy to understand (check out the pricing and tutorials page).

We currently run on Android (search for DataPoint GIS in Google Play) and Windows Mobile handhelds (downloads page of this web site).  Also our solution uses either the phone or handheld's GPS sensor or an external bluetooth sensor (NMEA compliant GPS data stream required), this allows you to utilitze high grade GPS receivers via bluetooth to collect coordinates that are as accurate as needed by your solution.
